Hard and semi-hard cheeses are best kept in the crisper of your fridge, double-wrapped in paper and plastic. Creamy cheese and fresh cheese will last longer in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

How much milk does it take to make cheese?

It usually takes a gallon of milk to make a pound of soft cheese, such as farmers’ cheese. Hard cheeses, like parmesan, can take two gallons to make a pound of cheese.
