This Orange Honey Glazed Salmon with a perfectly balanced sweet and savory flavor is an easy and delicious dish for the whole family! A healthy, flavor-packed meal in under 30 minutes.
You know there is a reason why citrus often accompanies fish. For starters, the citric acid cuts through the fish oils to ensure that the lovely sea flavor is never overwhelming. Additionally, citrus is a pleasant contrast.
The natural saltiness of the fish combined with the sweet citrusy taste creates a perfectly balanced bite every single time. Just Love it!!!! Everything about the recipe just works and all the elements meld flawlessly.
I just had to push this Fish and citrus combo a few steps further. The glaze consists of orange, and lemon juice and as if this duo is not delicious enough, honey is added for additional sweetness and for thickening purposes along with thyme and cumin. Yes, you can do without it. However, it delivers an extra kick.
The thymeis such a is a great addition. Couple with the fact that I DIG it, I use it in most of my recipes. It delivers such a subtle aroma, comparable to mint while paprika and cumin kick the glaze up a few notches.
If you want lemony and spicy salmon bites instead, you can switch this one up anytime with my Oven Baked Salmon below. It’s as easy as this Orange Honey Glazed Salmon and something that your family would also love too.
For a delectable meal every time, don’t over overcook the fish and make sure the glaze is flavorful and thick
FYI, perfectly cooked salmon is light and flaky. It has a good mouthfeel and isn’t at all dry or tough. As for the glaze, the goal is one that adheres well to the fish. Every inch should have a flavorful coating.
Serve this salmon with whole-grain couscous and steamed broccoli. They make such a delicious and healthy pair. Or just go just serve with rice, vegetables

This was absolutely delicious when I made it, the flavours went well together. Most of your recipes on your site that I have tried never failed to impress me and my mum was wondering if you have a cookbook?
Thank you for the inquiry and for trying out my recipes, Olivia. For now, my focus has been growing this blog. Perhaps one of these days I’d have my own cookbook. Will let you know. 🙂 Happy weekend!
This recipe was no disappointment. I love the flavor of the fish. Although, I’m usually not into sauces, but this one is perfect. It compliments the dish well. All of Imma’s recipes are tasty!
Hi Imma,
I made this recipe today, and it was amazing. We had it with buttercup squash, and asparagus and broccoli on the side. It was yummy. Thanks again for an amazing recipe. I am making the Jamaican browned chicken stew tomorrow. Will let you know how it turns out. Thanks again. God bless.
Hi Imma,

Your recipes look delish and I like that you show diagrams which is very helpful. This will be the first one I will try.
This recipe is a must try as valentine’s is around the corner, so a quiet dinner for hubby and I. hmm. thanks Imma. stumbled on your page on Instagram and I became hooked.

So, I stumbled across your website and I haven’t went back yet. As a wife who loves to try different recipes, I love this one. It was different, my taste buds were rejoicing and my husband and I are “sauce” people so we definitely enjoyed it. While preparing the meal, I made it with tilapia, salmon was too much at the time, but I will make with salmon next time because the consistency was kind of heavy for my fragile tilapia fillets. All in all, definitely will be doing this again, now Im on my way to the crispy chicken wings recipe. Keep up the great work. God Bless!
Awesome Salmon dish! And nice light dish as well. I eat Fish and Salmon often enough every week that I’ll definitely make this sometime really soon. Maybe I do Orange Glaze Snapper as well since I have one on hand.
In the Notes minor correction needed where it says Chicken instead of Fish.
This was delicious! My honey loved it!! Will definitely make this again!
Yay! Thank you so much, Sabrina! 🙂
